Sometimes getting there is half the fun.  On my first drive up there I was impressed with the beauty of the area from Newport onwards.   Below you will find directions from Spokane, Coeur D’Alene and Newport.   At the bottom there are also some maps.  If you need directions from some other location send me an e-mail and I'll see what I can do.  If you have better directions please let me know.

From Spokane WA:

From Interstate 90 take the Division Street (US-2/US-395) exit # 281
Head north following US-2 out of Spokane.
Stay on US-2 going to Newport WA, a distance of 48 miles.
Continue with directions from Newport below.

From Coeur D’Alene ID:   Top

From Interstate 90 take the US-95 exit #12
Head north following US-95 out of Coeur D’Alene.
Stay on US-95 for about 8 miles until the junction with Idaho SR-53
Turn WEST following SR-53 for 5 miles where it meets up with Idaho SR-41
at the north end of Rathdrum ID.
Turn north onto SR-41 following this to Newport WA where it meets up with US-2.
Continue with directions from Newport below.

From Newport WA:   Top

From Newport follow US-2 through Priest River ID
Continue on US-2 until reaching Idaho SR-57; about 6 miles.
Turn north on Idaho SR-57
(this will be 9th Street in Priest River, see map below)
Follow SR-57 north to Nordman Idaho, 39 miles.
From Nordman follow Reeder Bay Road east to Priest Lake
It will turn north eventually turning into NFD 2512 (see map.)
Continue to follow this road north to Beaver Creek Campground.
From Nordman to the campground is approximately 12 miles.
We will be at the group site there.

Here are the maps. Finally found them stashed on the computer.    Top

Map from Nordman to NFD 2512.  It looks more confusing on the map than it does when actually driving.  Just stay on the main road; both Reeder Bay Road and NFD 2512 are paved all the way to the campsite.   Remember to look for signs to Beaver Creek Campground:
